Dr. Alana McNutt
Veterinarian & Owner
Joined Tipton Veterinary Services in July of 2016, and is a Tipton native. She is a 2011 graduate of Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to returning home she practiced in Kalona, Iowa specializing in large animal medicine. Then she joined the Carthage Veterinary team where she worked in mixed animal practice. Dr. McNutt is the daughter of a local horse veterinarian, Dr. Jim McNutt. Dr. McNutt’s specialty interests include bovine reproduction, small ruminants, and of course horses. She and her husband Dr. John Prickett, have two daughters, Maida(2016) and Della(2018) along with dogs, cats, and a small collection of sheep, goats, and horses. Dr. John and Alana bought Tipton Veterinary Services in 2018 from Dr. O’ Donnell. They bought New Liberty Veterinary Clinic from Dr. Tucker in 2020. Both clinics operate under the Circle P Veterinary Services logo.
Dr. John Prickett
Veterinarian & Owner
Joined Tipton Veterinary Services in 2018 when he and his wife Dr. Alana McNutt purchased the business. Dr. Prickett’s parents were both large animal/horse veterinarians in Iowa until they retired. Dr. Prickett graduated from Iowa State in 2010 with a Ph.D. in Veterinary Microbiology specializing in swine diseases. He graduated in 2014 from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine and worked as a swine vet for four years in Iowa, Illinois, and Missouri.
Dr. Prickett enjoys business management and his specialty interests are swine and small animal medicine. He enjoys “hobby” farming and land maintenance as well as outdoor activities with his family. Dr. Prickett and his family reside at the end of the dead-end road where Dr. McNutt grew up.
Dr. Scout Josey
Veterinarian
Joined Tipton Veterinary Services as an associate in June 2020. A North Georgia native, she graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2020. Throughout her college years, she completed a number of internships all over the Midwest from Oklahoma to North Dakota focusing mainly on bovine medicine. She is primarily passionate about population health and production medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling to visit family and friends, hiking, and hunting. She is accompanied every day to the clinic by her cats, Todd & Chip.
Dr. Isaac Jepsen
Veterinarian
Joined Tipton Veterinary Services as an associate in October 2021. Dr. Isaac is a native of Early, IA, where he grew up on a small cow-calf operation. Dr. Isaac graduated from Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021, where he specialized in Large Animal Medicine, with a particular passion for cattle, swine, and small ruminants. When not on the job, Dr. Isaac enjoys hunting, fishing, and reading. Dr. Isaac is an avid fan of ISU sports and Kansas City Chiefs football.
Dr. Kieran Hartley
Veterinarian
Joined Tipton Veterinary Services as an associate in June 2022. Dr. Hartley grew up in Iowa City, IA and graduated from Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2022 where he developed an interest in backyard and production poultry medicine, radiology, and internal medicine. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, hiking, supporting the Iowa Hawkeyes, and spending time with his family, dog (Renfri), and cat (Albi).
Kelsie
Registered Veterinary Technician
Joined Tipton Veterinary Services in May 2018. She was raised in Moscow, Ia. She graduated from Muscatine Community College and passed her technician state and national board exams in 2014. In her spare time, she enjoys reading & playing slowpitch.
Nicole
Veterinary Assistant
Joined Tipton Veterinary Services in October of 2017. She was born and raised in Tipton and is married to Justin. They have two children, Saidee and Jax who help take care of her funny farm consisting of goats, chickens, cattle, and two Great Danes.
Mariah
Registered Veterinary Technician
Interned at Tipton Veterinary Services in high school and became a full-time employee in 2020. She enjoys working with all animals large and small. Mariah grew up on a small farm outside of Lowden. Mariah enjoys raising animals such as Chickens, Ducks, Geese, Rabbits and Goats. She passed her National and State board exams in July 2023 and is now a Registered Veterinary Technician.

Veterinary Assistant
Joined Tipton Veterinary Services in June of 2021. She grew up in Muscatine, IA and attended MCC and received her AAS in Agribusiness Management. In her spare time, she enjoys playing slowpitch softball and hunting with her English Setter, Yeti.

Veterinary Assistant
Joined Tipton Veterinary Services in July of 2021. She grew up in Wilton, IA and graduated high school in the year 2020. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family and her White Lab, Sasha.
Kristin
Veterinary Assistant
Joined Tipton Veterinary Services in September of 2021. She grew up in a suburb of Chicago and came to Iowa to attend the University of Iowa where she graduated in 2014 with a Bachelors in Microbiology. She recently moved to the Tipton area with her husband and dogs, she enjoys reading and cooking.

Dr. Michael O’Donnell
Retired Veterinarian
Purchased Tipton Veterinary Services in 1991. He grew up on a livestock and grain farm in Ottawa, Illinois. He is a 1985 graduate of Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He and his wife Sue have 3 children, 4 grandchildren and live with their dog, Bert, and their cats Ghost and Karen. Dr. O’Donnell enjoys hunting, hiking, traveling to see the kids, an occasional round of golf, and all aspects of veterinary medicine.
Dr. Craig Tucker
Retired Veterinarian
Joined the New Liberty Veterinary Clinic in 1979 after doing an externship there his senior year in vet school. Craig grew up on a livestock and grain farm in northern Indiana and was very active in 4-H and FFA. He graduated from vet school at Purdue in 1979. He became a partner in the clinic the next year and married his wife Judy in 1987. They have a son, two daughters and 6 grandchildren. Dr. Tucker sold his practice to TVS in 2019 and was primarily working out of the New Liberty office. He especially enjoys all aspects of beef cattle medicine and small animal surgery. The Tuckers have one cat named Lover Boy.
